A small footprint. By design.
How Vendorapp keeps its impact on the planet low, and what we're doing next.
Environmental impact report. First published 4 March 2025, updated 31 October 2026.
Where does our energy go? Mostly into the cloud.
Vendorapp runs on Microsoft Azure, which has committed to carbon-neutral operations and invests in renewable energy.
We tune our setup so we don't waste computing power, and we're exploring verified carbon offsets for the hosting emissions that are left.
Do you have an office? No. We're remote-first.
No office and no daily commute, so no emissions from either. We work fully digitally, so there's no paper either.
What about laptops and phones? We keep them, then pass them on.
We use our devices for at least three years. After that, every one is recycled or donated.
What about your own vendors? We check them too.
We ask our vendors and partners to meet our own ESG assessment framework, and we weigh sustainability when we choose who to buy from.
It's what Vendorapp helps our customers do as well.
What are your targets? Three, and they're measurable.
- Energy. Cut energy use by 10% by October 2027, where we can.
- Vendors. An ESG assessment for every active vendor by April 2027.
- Devices. 100% recycled or donated at the end of their life. Always.
Targets updated October 2026.
How do you keep track? We measure, then review.
We track our electricity use, how sustainable our Azure hosting is, and how many of our vendors meet our ESG standard.
We review progress every quarter and audit our overall impact, and our cloud provider's, every year.
